This is the music used in the Gag Factory scene of Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin at Disneyland. Although this is my first audio loop from this attraction, I have always enjoyed this attraction for a variety of reasons, including the use of characters from 1988’s Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and the great soundtrack. Who Framed Roger Rabbit was revolutionary for the ways that it mixed live action and animation, which helped earn it massive success at the box office. Throughout the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, Disney attempted to promote Roger Rabbit in various ways, including several ideas for the theme parks. Roger Rabbit's Hollywood was an entire new land for Disney MGM Studios in Florida that was sadly never built. Around 1990, Mickey's Toontown was being developed for Disneyland, and because the inspiration for Toontown was Who Framed Roger Rabbit, it was decided to include a Roger Rabbit dark ride in this new land. This ride uses a unique ride system that allows the cars to spin 360 degrees. Sets were designed 360 degrees around you to accommodate this. The ride has been very popular ever since it opened in Jan 1994. Sadly, in 2021 they censored the sparkling dress of Jessica Rabbit and replaced it with an ugly yellow trench coat, which is not only stupid but also goes against some themes in the film. The Gag Factory scene has this band organ featuring the song that was played on piano by Donald Duck and Daffy Duck in the film. It has the Weasels causing chaos as they attempt to kill Roger Rabbit with dip. This is shortly before Roger saves the day with a portable hole. Some of these pictures were taken by Daveland, and the rest were taken by me. The great soundtrack for this ride was arranged by George Wilkins, the same great musician who also composed much of the music from 1982 EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World, as well as other Disney parks music such as the iconic Star Tunnel music in Magic Kingdom Space Mountain (1984), the Vacation (1986-2001) and Christmas (1984-2005) shows for the Country Bears, the soundtrack for California Screamin at California Adventure (2001-18), and even the music for the America room in its a small world in California and Hong Kong (2008). I hope you enjoy this! I do not own any of the audio or some of the images used in this video. All audio is owned by Disney. All images are owned by their respective owners.
