They make great accessories, and they’re the cherry on top of a knitted hat. They also make great stress balls! Thankfully, making a pom pom is not hard. If you can use a pair of scissors, then you can make a pom pom! All you’ll need are a pair of sharp scissors, cardboard (an old tissue or cereal box works great), yarn, and a can or a jar to help you trace a circle. That’s it. No commercial pom pom maker necessary! The secret to make the perfect pom pom is to use lots of yarns when wrapping your donut, make sure your scissors are super sharp, and finally, to use your donuts as a tracer to help you cut a perfectly round shape.
