KMPDU maintains that the doctors’ seven-day strike notice still stands

The Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentist Union (KMPDU) has formally issued a seven-day strike notice for the withdrawal of services by medical practitioners, pharmacists, and dentists in all institutions under the Ministry of Health and county governments throughout the republic. The union's Deputy Secretary General Dennis Miskellah while issuing a press briefing stated that calls by Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakumicha, to discuss the contentious issues including placement of medical interns, are not sincere and lack goodwill.
