There are certain facial characteristics that cue the public to think of someone as male or female. Facial feminization surgery or FFS softens masculine features making them more traditionally feminine. Many transgender women and non-binary transfeminine patients experience an easier time with their gender expression and a decrease in dysphoria after FFS. Facial Feminization is a series of surgeries done to soften both the soft tissue and bony structures of the face.
