Striping Tape Looks | SensatioNail

@itsjustsamhere is ready to show you how to create three simple but stylish looks with Striping tape. ———————————— Tutorial ———————————— Everything you need is available here at https://www.sensationail.com/uk/ Look one: Apply 2 coats your chosen shade. We’ve used Mauve Berry, https://www.sensationail.com/uk/mauve... , remembering to cure in between. Take some cuticle nippers or nail scissors and cut a length of striping tape longer than your nail. TOP TIP: always make sure the length of tape is longer than your nail to you can grab onto this and easily position it. Apply across the top section of the nail, a little down from the cuticle. Using a cuticle stick, firmly rub down the tape and press into the sides on the nail. Cut and apply a second length of tape, a little below the first, press and rub down in the same way. Cut and apply a third length of tape, apply this closer to the bottom section of the nail, closer to the tip/free edge. Press and rub down in the same way. Taking your cuticle nippers or nail scissors, trim away the excess tape. TOP TIP: Ensure this is still flush to the nail at the edges by pressing down further with a cuticle stick if needed. Apply two coats of Gel base/top coat, curing for 15-30 seconds in between. Cleanse away the tacky layer using your cleanser and lint free wipes. TOP TIP: Regular polish takes 20 minutes to touch dry and up to 24 hours to dry completely. Make sure you leave this to dry for at least 20 minutes, preferably longer to ensure none of the polish peels away. Take some cuticle nippers or nail scissors and cut a length of striping tape longer than your nail. Apply this vertically down the nail. Using a cuticle stick, firmly rub down the tape and press into the sides on the nail. TOP TIP: Ensure this is still flush to the nail at the edges by pressing down further with a cuticle stick if needed. You don’t want any polish to seep under the tape as this will ruin the lines. Apply this to one half of the nail, up to the tape. While your second colour is still wet, grab a free end of the tape and peel away in one smooth motion. Leave to dry for up to 20 minutes and apply 2 layers of top coat. TOP TIP: You can use a gel top coat over your regular polish to improve wear time. Leave this to try for as long as possible to ensure all solvents have evaporated and your polish won’t go wrinkly under the lamp.
