No Men Had Beaten Pedro’s Mexican 6.6lb Cheesy Beef Burrito Challenge (Only $20 If You Fail)

American pro eater Randy Santel versus Pedro's 6.6lb Cheesy Ground Beef, Bean, Rice, and Potato Burrito Challenge hosted by Pedro's Mexican Grill in Elk City, Oklahoma which is 1.5 to 2 hours west of Oklahoma City and in between OKC and Amarillo, Texas on Historic Route 66. A few weeks after getting home from my food challenge trip to Salt Lake City, Utah and Idaho, I started an eating challenge tour with ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ around Arkansas, parts of Missouri, and Oklahoma!! I attempted eleven (11) huge and delicious man vs food challenges. For restaurant eating challenge #6 of eleven, we headed to Pedro's Mexican Grill in Elk City, Oklahoma so we could each attempt Pedro's 6.6lb Mexican Burrito Challenge which had only been beaten ONCE during the previous 10 years / decade that the Mexican burrito food challenge has been available. Apparently, a local woman even smaller than Katina finished in just over 12 minutes, which is crazy!! It's a 6.6 pound burrito because the original Pedro's Restaurant location was right off of Historic Route 66 before it unfortunately caught on fire, forcing the owners to move locations. I had one full hour (60 minutes) to eat 4 large flour burrito tortillas filled with 2lbs of seasoned ground beef mixed with lots of refried beans, Mexican rice, diced potatoes, and red enchilada sauce, all smothered with more sauce and lots of shredded cheese. It all weighed 6.6 lbs (3kg) total and I was trying to become just the third person to win my $20 burrito meal free plus a coveted spot on Pedro's Wall of Fame!! BIG thanks to everyone with Pedro's Mexican Grill in Elk City, Oklahoma for the wonderful Hispanic food, drinks, apple pie with ice cream dessert, and hospitality!! Special thanks also to all our friends who came up that Tuesday evening to watch and meet us!!
