Every year, in every corner of the world, world-famous architectural objects are illuminated in special colours as part of the global RARE DISEASE DAY campaign. This year is no exception for us, and we also wanted to continue the tradition of supporting important social messages, broadcasting the UNITY of Ukraine with the entire civilised world. 🇺🇦 However, we faced difficulties in preparing the lighting for two key locations in Kyiv, as these buildings were heavily damaged by the agRecoRa attacks. The first building is the Okhmatdyt National Children's Hospital, a place where thousands of children are given a new life and hope for the future. Our hearts are filled with pain for what we have seen, but at the same time, we are filled with boundless respect for the Okhmatdyt team, the young patients and their parents. Despite the horror they have experienced, they have survived, are recovering, saving lives, and continue to fight for life, bringing light and giving faith in the future. This is the true power of the human spirit. The second is the Church of St Nicholas, a sacred architectural monument, a place where people can feel spiritual support. It was to restore the illumination of the Church that we teamed up with the leadership of Toronto-Kyiv, led by Yuriy Kryvosheya Khrystyna Styhar and Oleksandr Dekunov, who also suffered great damage, and began a very scrupulous work despite all the difficulties and did everything possible to restore the night illumination and we succeeded! Despite all the difficulties and obstacles, by joining together, we sought to draw attention to and support all people, including children and their parents, who are now living not only in the fight against the disease, but also in the fight for the freedom of their country.
