What Is Vision? (Biblical Perspective) Definition: Vision is the ability to see what God sees, either through: A literal supernatural revelation (dream, prophecy, etc.) Or a deep sense of purpose and direction from God 🔹 Key Scriptures on Vision 📖 Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” This means that without divine direction, people lose restraint, purpose, or alignment with God's will. 📖 Habakkuk 2:2-3 “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time…” This shows that God’s vision is to be received, recorded, and acted upon—even if fulfillment takes time. 📖 Joel 2:28 “Your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.” God promises to pour out His Spirit, giving dreams and visions to guide His people. 🔹 Characteristics of God-Given Vision 1. It comes from God – not just a personal ambition 2. It aligns with Scripture – God’s vision never contradicts His Word 3. It inspires faith and obedience 4. Give me vision—not just for my future, but for how I can serve You now.”
