The earlier typhoon that was predicted for Day 2 of the 3rd Boom Racing Asian Scale Invasion, Return of the Dragon, Recon G6 Hong Kong did not occur, and the weather turned out to be fantastic, providing perfect conditions for a full day of radio control activities on Sunday, November 3, 2024. After a good night's rest for all the participants from Day 1, especially the Asian Fix Enduro competitors, both drivers and spectators were ready for another exciting day of radio control activities. At 7 a.m. on Sunday, a coach bus picked up hotel guests from Pentahotels, Tuen Mun, and the Fanling train station. Around the same time, other participants began arriving at the MX Club. The trails opened at 8 a.m., and we kicked off the Mini Competition at a small corner section of the dirt bike track. Drivers had to complete a timed course and navigate multiple gates, with over 30 drivers competing. The atmosphere was filled with fun and excitement throughout the event. After lunch was served, we moved on to the BRX Draconic Challenge. Brian Parker led the BRX parade, starting from the main banner and proceeding to the Scaletra booth. The Scaletra team introduced an upcoming R/C trailing app and assisted participants with the download. Once everyone had the app installed, the BRX parade continued through the upper area of the MX Club terrain. Brian carefully inspected all the vehicles and made notes on the performance of each, marking down the winning vehicles based on his observations. The final event of the day was the ATees Terra X U4 Racing. There were two classes: 2.2" open and 1.9" trail. The rules were simple: whichever truck flipped over became track art. Brian laid out the track, and mud pits were added to increase the challenge and enjoyment for spectators. All events concluded around 4:30 p.m., and we hiked out to the Tsiu Keng bus stop for the hotel buses. The awards dinner ceremony was held near the designated hotel at 6 p.m., attended by over 150 people. There were more than $350,000 HKD ($45,000 USD) worth of prizes from our event sponsors. Guests enjoyed an exquisite local 10-course meal, during the prize ceremony and raffle. Everyone had a great time, making it an unforgettable night! Thank you to our sponsors, the staff, the volunteers, all drivers and spectators who made this event possible! We hope you enjoy the video and see you guys next time!
