The repair of a ventral hernia is one of the most common and complex surgical procedures in the world. Because of the complexity and uniqueness involved in every laparoscopic surgery, the comparison between the efficacies of different surgical techniques for ventral hernias becomes difficult. Due to an increased demand for such surgery in all age groups and considerable variability in surgical management, tailoring the approach to match the need of an individual patient is of utmost importance. To better understand the technical aspects of surgical procedures in ventral hernia, Docplexus, in collaboration with the Hernia Society of India (HSI), has organized an international update on 25th July 2020, 6:00 pm onwards. In this session, a panel of international as well as national experts will be sharing their insights on Endo-laparoscopic approaches to small primary midline ventral hernias. The itinerary for the international update is as follows: 06:00 PM – 06:05 PM: Welcome address by Dr. Ramesh Agarwalla. 06:05 PM – 06:25 PM: IPOM / IPOM Plus: When And When Not. 06:25 PM – 06:45 PM: Preperitoneal Repair: Attractive But Not Popular. 06:45 PM – 07:05 PM: SCOM - What Is The Real Advantage. 07:05 PM – 07:25 PM: E-TEP: Is It Too Much For Too Little? 07:25 PM – 07:45 PM: Expert Panel Discussion On Issues And Challenges In Small Primary Midline Ventral Hernias. 07:45 PM – 07:50 PM: Vote Of Thanks. Your queries will be answered by the speakers at the end of the session. Stay Tuned!
