Pretrial Intervention (PTI)—formerly known as memo agreements—is a Dallas County program that offers eligible defendants the opportunity to have their case dismissed upon successful completion of contract terms, typically lasting 3 to 18 months. In this video, you’ll learn: PTI Eligibility – How cases are reviewed by a PTI prosecutor and prioritized for jail cases. PTI Types – Five types, including four supervised (Community Supervision, Pretrial Services, Emerging Adult Caseload, Recovery Monitoring Solutions) and one unsupervised option. Supervised vs. Unsupervised – Monthly check-ins for supervised PTI; proof-of-condition completion for unsupervised PTI. Requirements & Timeline – Conditions, mid-point progress, and contract return within three weeks. Outcome – Case dismissal and expungement eligibility if all conditions are met by the expiration date. PTI is a second chance program focused on accountability and rehabilitation instead of traditional prosecution. 📍 Learn more: www.dallascounty.org 📲 Follow Dallas County on Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram. #PretrialIntervention #PTIProgram #DallasCountyPTI #MemoAgreements #SecondChanceProgram #CriminalJusticeReform #CaseDismissal #ExpunctionEligibility #FelonyDiversion #AlternativeSentencing #CourtAccountability #RehabilitationNotPunishment #DallasCountyJustice #SecondChanceOpportunity #CriminalJusticePrograms
