Seiko SNE569P1 In-Depth Review- The ALMOST Perfect Seiko Diver- Is It A Rolex Submariner Homage?

So you want an new affordable sub $500 Seiko dive watch in the 38mm-40mm range. What options do you have? You could get an SKX013 but those are discontinued and the prices have gone up on them (not to mention the awful 7S26 movement). And the only other choice you have would be to go for the SPB143 but that costs much more at over $1000. Seiko has finally answered my prayers and has released the SNE569P1 (SBDN069). Alongside this they have released the amazing PADI version the SNE575P1 (SNE575). I have been a Seiko fan for many years and at one point I had 12 Seikos in my collection before I sold a few but there was something missing amongst my Seiko divers. I always wanted a Seiko diver that could by my “grab and go” watch. For this I wanted a watch in my sweet spot of 38-40mm, with a versatile design but still a little unique to help differentiate it from my other divers, and finally with a 20mm lug width. This SNE569P1 meets and surpasses all those requirements because it is 38mm with a 20mm lug width with an added bonus of drilled lugs. The solar quartz movement helps make it the ultimate grab and go watch and it greatly reduces the thickness to 10.7mm. Finally the best thing about this watch is the grey bezel! This is not a color often seen on bezels and for me alongside the black dial it is the perfect color combination which could make this watch one of my absolute favorites.
