Dromid, (An Dromaid) is a small townland in a valley between the Cummeraggh and Inny Rivers. In the heart of the Iveragh Peninsula, there is the Kerry Way, farmland, wetlands, blanket bog, hills, valleys, rivers, lakes and all covered by some of the darkest skies on the peninsula, check out the Kerry International Dark Sky Reserve. The village of Cillin Liath (Little Grey Church) has a surprising amount of facilities and services, it is a Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) area, has a vibrant pub (The Inny Tavern), a hostel, a community centre with business units, a digital hub and a youth club. There is also a shop and an active GAA (Dromid Pearses). Dromid is rooted in Ireland’s mythological past as the main route Oisin took to Tir na nOg!
