‘Cutting food waste’ - Age of Change

Sodexo has been included in the “Age of Change” series, presented by WWF and content partners and produced for them by BBC StoryWorks. This series aims to show impactful initiatives around the world and how companies like us can play a key and urgent role in global sustainable development. “Age of Change” champions organizations who have turned rhetoric into action and can serve as exemplars to inspire others to follow suit. In collaboration with our US colleagues and a healthcare client, we have been working on a video with BBC StoryWorks, the commercial content division of BBC Global News. We have decided to showcase the WasteWatch program highlighted in a healthcare site in the United States. This video shows how much, especially on food waste topics, “it all starts with the everyday”. Everyday, every individual involved in our food service operations from our employees, chefs, site managers and kitchen staff are committed to fighting food waste at every stage of the food system from farm to fork.
