This is how I tackled this mini room from start to finish. I always like to take everything out and give the space a good deep cleaning. Then I start sorting similar items together. While doing that I start a pile of things I want to get rid of and place off to the side. I end up making mini piles for what I am giving away. Things to give to friends. Things to donate. Things to recycle. Things to trash. Things to do (like shred papers in this case). Then it's time to put everything back into the closet. I go verticle to make sure that I can maximize space once again. Living in a small apartment with very limited storage means I have to be smart when it comes to organizing my closet space. I am gradually becoming more and more of a minimalist and it feels good. To me decluttering is a process and a way of life.
