This is Caesar Handmade Guitars. Before i got into guitar building i had been a joiner for about 8 years and i´ve mainly worked with wood. So i noticed very early that wood is the material that i wanna work with and create something on my own. During those 8 years i´ve learned so much about woodwork and i gained so many useful skills. But somewhere along the way i realized that building furniture wasn´t quite the thing for me. I´ve been playing guitar since i was a kid and i´ve always been fascinated by it and wondering how it was built and what it would take me to build one on my own. A couple of years ago i visited the only school in austria that teaches you how to build acoustic guitars and to be honest i was actually thinking of going there even though i woudn´t have learned to built electric guitars but then i thought i would just give it a go and try it on my own. So i read a couple of books and began to study the theory of guitarbuilding. The first guitars i made for myself but then some people got interested in what i am doing. The demand got bigger and that is when i realized that i could actually be doing this for a living one day. Here in my tiny workshop i work all by myself and its actually kinda nice to have this freedom to create something without getting interupted. You know it´s like this quiet peacefull place where i can clear my head. I would call my method of construction reduced and effective. So im always seeking for a simple and natural look. Im only using selected tonewood and high quality hardware for my instruments. Every guitar is custom made for the players preferences. Proper craftsmanship and a relyable customer support, i would say that makes a good guitar builder. Film by Kristian Machtlinger
