The largest impact crater on the planet is not located in Mexico, but rather within Australia. The crater in question is known as the Deniliquin Structure, whose southern rim even includes a portion of the city of Melbourne. In total, this massive feature measures Crater and measures 520 kilometers or 323 miles wide. It formed as the result of a catastrophic impact between 417 and 525 million years ago.
