Domaine de Montille: The 2023 Vintage

Working closely with Étienne de Montille and chief winemaker Brian Sieve for almost a decade has been a real pleasure, helping us serve Club Members with incredible wines from across the wide-ranging de Montille portfolio. When we visited the Domaine in November, Brian shared his thoughts about the 2023 vintage. Domaine de Montille manages that difficult task of combining old-school classicism with dynamic forward-thinking. The result is a burgeoning family property that is very much at the top of its game, producing wines of exceptional quality: scintillating, proper Burgundies. The estate’s top wines include Chevalier Montrachet, Corton Clos du Roi and Corton Charlemagne Grand Crus and the prized “Cristiane” parcel of Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Malconsorts, whose vines neighbour DRC’s La Tâche.
