How to Plant a Seed 🌱 Planting Seeds with Kids

Welcome to Little Onez TV and today’s video is about How to plant a seed, planting seeds with kids. Planting seeds with kids is one of my favorite nature activities. Preschoolers love to be part of the process. It is a valuable real-life hands-on way to learn about how plants grow. They are fascinated how the seeds are tucked into the soil and they take great care by watering them daily, waiting for them to grow. After planting the seeds, children learn the importance of taking care of them while observing their growth. When the first sign of green pops through the soil, the biggest smiles erupt from their faces. Once they take their plants home, parents say the preschoolers continue to nurture them, making sure they get plenty of water and light. What a valuable life lesson! ▶️ What you will need: • biodegradable pots • soil • seeds • craft sticks • shovels or something to scoop soil • spray bottle filled with water ▶️ Method and Instruction to planting seeds: • first we're adding soil for the seeds to grow in and adding rocks will help with drainage. • we're gonna add some pretty pink sand • now we're adding more soil for the seeds • let's make sure it's planted nicely • now we're going to add some friends • now that everything is put together • we need to put it in some sun for it to grow When growing plants from seed, this will naturally take more time than getting something that you simply buy from the garden centre. And creating your garden from seed will open so many opportunities for your children to learn. It’s certainly something that we have enjoyed and even as an adult, it has been interesting to watch all of the different ways that seeds can grow – even more so for the ones that you start off indoors.
