Baiju Dham, located in Gurua, famous for Baidyanath in the Gaya district of Bihar, is a center of Shiva devotees. Baiju Dham is located on the banks of the Morhar River, 25km from Gaya in Bihar and about 4km from Gurua. According to the local people, it is said that in the year 2000, there was a terrible flood in the Morhar river. Due to the flood, all the shepherds who were grazing their animals there, climbed the Marhak hill. One of those local shepherds, whose name is said to be Kameshwar, was digging the ground with a stick and he found a black colored stone. When excavation was done there with the help of villagers, a huge Shivalinga was found, which is still established in Baiju Dham. This news spread immediately in the local area and since then it is believed that after Baba Baij Nath went to Deoghar (Jharkhand), Lord Shiva appeared on Marhak hill in Bihar. Which we can see even today in Baiju Dham. Marhak Hill which is famous as Baiju Dham today. Baiju Dham is surrounded by Marhak hills and beautiful forest on all sides which attracts a lot of tourists. A grand fair is organised here in the month of Sawan; every year a large number of tourists come here. The state government is trying to develop Baiju Dham like other tourist places. Apart from Shiva devotees, foreign tourists coming to Bodhgaya also visit Baiju Dham. बैजूधाम बिहार के गया जिले मे बैद्यनाथ से प्रसिद्ध गुरुआ के अंतर्गत स्थित बैजू धाम शिव भक्तों का एक केंद्र हैं । बैजू धाम बिहार के गया से 25km और गुरूआ से लगभग 4km मोरहर नदी के किनारे स्थित है । स्थानीय लोगो के अनुसार कहा ये जाता हैं की साल 2000 में मोरहर नदी मे भयानक बाढ़ आई थी। बाढ़ के कारण वहा जितने चरवाहे थे जो अपने जानवर चरा रहे थे, वे मरहक पहाड़ी पर चढ़ गए। उन्ही में से एक स्थानीय चरवाहा जिसका नाम कामेश्वर बताया जाता हैं, वह एक डंडे से जमीन खोद रहे थे और उन्हें एक काला रंग का पत्थर मिला। जब ग्रामीणों की मदद से वहा पर खुदाई की गई तो एक विशाल शिवलिंग मिला, जो आज भी बैजू धाम में प्रतिष्ठित हैं। स्थानीय क्षेत्र में यह खबर तुरंत फैल गई और तभी से ऐसा माना जाने लगा की बाबा बैज नाथ देवघर (झारखंड) में चले जाने के बाद भगवान शिव बिहार के मरहक पहाड़ी पर प्रकट हुए। जिसे आज भी हम बैजू धाम में देख सकते हैं। मरहक पहाड़ी जो आज के date में बैजू धाम से प्रसिद्ध हैं। बैजू धाम चारो ओर से मरहक पहाड़ियों और सुंदर जंगल से घिरा हुआ है जो पर्यटकों को बहुत आकर्षित करता है । सावन के महीने मे यहां भव्य मेला का आयोजन किया जाता हैं, हर साल यहां काफी संख्या में पर्यटक आते हैं। राज्य सरकार बैजू धाम को अन्य पर्यटक स्थलों की तरह विकास करने का प्रयत्न कर रही हैं। शिव भक्तों के अलावा बोधगया में आने वाले विदेशी पर्यटक भी बैजू धाम का भ्रमण करते हैं। #gaya #bihar #explorepage #baijudham #gayabihar #baijudhamgurua #baijudhamtemple #baijudhamgaya #bolbam #shiv #mandir #shrawan #shrawankamela #श्रावण #devghar #देवघर #mahadev #mahadevkinagri #mahashivratri #mahashivaratri #mahashivratri2025
