Highland Wildlife Park - First Trip Out of LOCKDOWN!

With lockdown in Scotland easing, we were finally able to travel! We decided to take a trip to the Highlands and Highland Wildlife Park. There are two parts to the park, a walk-around area and a drive-through reserve. This is mainly the walk-around area with a quick look at the large drive-through reserve. Animals here include polar bears, snow leopards, Markhour, Eurasian crane, bison, deer, moose (or European Elk), camels, yak, muscox, horse and many others! This was their second day of operation after being closed during lockdown and the staff were fantastic and the facilities were regularly cleaned and the gift shop had limited numbers. This place has large, open spaces for both the animal and the visitor. It is a member of the RZSS, or Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, along with the Edinburgh Zoo.
