No rambling. No bs. No unnerving music. So go to dollar tree or whatever and get one of those packs of the double sided adhesive foam-ish dots, a yellow car wash sponge, a poster board . Order whatever mesh head is on sale. Mine were like $8-15 bucks each. Some remo, some pearl, some generic, doesn’t matter. Remove ring. Remove old Mylar head, discard. Remove wooden shell. Remove white foam. Separate black foam from trigger plate. Turn trigger plate over. Separate piezo trigger from metal plate. Slide black foam out from piezo trigger. Perform episiotomy on white foam. Replace white foam and guide wire through top cut. Place piezo trigger FLAT SIDE UP on white foam Use the drum shell and a sharpie to mark and cut a circle from the posterboard / cardstock paper. Use the black foam to mark an inner circle with a sharpie and cut that out in the center of your shell-sized paper circle. Use the sticky dots to attach the paper donut circle to the piezo trigger, keeping everything center. Replace black foam. Cut a triangle-ish shape out of the car wash sponge foam and sticky dot it to the center of the piezo trigger. Install new mesh head. Install ring and tighten. Check in a few days and tighten. Don't forget you have to change your sensitivities, probably. Maybe not. This is all you need to do. No expensive overseas kits, no crazy shipping charges. Do this now if you have mylar heads.
