Description: Over 80+ deaths have been reported in Aligarh district due to consumption of poisonous liquor. However, the locals claim that the death toll is much more than the reported number. The reason behind the same, they say is that postmortems were not conducted. The people are also outraged over the lackadaisical approach of the police in bringing the accused to book. Most of the ones who have succumbed belong to the economically weaker sections of the society and were sole breadwinners.
