On this live recording from March 13 in the year 1971, you hear the Dizzy Man's Band in the original formation and on top of their game. Jacques Kloes on lead vocals Dirk van der Horst on guitar Joop Tromp on drums Dick Buysman on bass Herman Smak on the Hammond organ Klaas Versteeg on tenor sax Karl Kalf on trumpet. The tapes from this live recording were hidden on a shelf at the Soundpush Studio in Blaricum for years and years. and were restored and mastered by one of the band members saxplayer Klaas Versteeg in 2020, 49 years later. In 1971 the band already had a few hitsingles ( Tickatoo, Let's Go To The Beach and A Matter Of Facts) and was in the process of recording their second studio album Luctor Et Emergo. Live they also played covers of their favorite bands like Blood Sweat & Tears, Chicago, Joe Cocker's Maddogs and Englishmen and the comedy and fun of the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band. In part 2 you hear the band's take on Beatles classic Eleanor Rigby. It's remarkable how tight the band was, and how raw and great their vocalist Jacques Kloes sounded. Going back in time with a rare recording of this great Dutch band.
