Bavaria and Saxony now aggress, Their loyalties to treaties cast aside, Joined France in plots against the Empress, And sought to see her power shorn of pride. Yet through the storm she rose with steadfast grace, And fought to save her inheritance and place. The rules and mechanics for this wargame simulate the historical War of the Austrian Succession (1740–1748). The game features two initial coalitions, Prussia/France versus Austria/Great Britain/Russia, and details the initial objectives for each nation, which primarily concern territorial control like Prussia's goal of capturing Silesia. A core game mechanic is Austrian diplomacy, represented by a dice roll, which can cause Bavaria and Saxony to switch allegiance from the Prussian/French side to the Austrian side by recognising Maria Theresa's succession to the Habsburg lands.
