Negative Dysphotopsia HD
This middle aged lady has persistent ND after an acrysof MA 60 IOL implant 2 months ago. The ND disappeared when she was dilated and reappeared when the pupil came down. After a bit of proding she points it as being little less than 90 degrees away. I guess it to be about 80 degrees from the straight gaze. Luckily she was willing to discuss it in detail and i had a light tuesday morning and so this movie. her normal pupil size is 2 mm. this movie was taken with the pupil dilated to 4 mm . There is a definite lens optic reflex when she sees the shadow. Is the light reflecting back to us and away from the nasal retina? The shadow that she sees is not dependent on the angle of the incident light but on her direction of gaze . would love to have your comments on this conundrum. Please look for a similar findings in your patients and share your findings.
