Hello everyone! You might have seen a previous video I uploaded about a year ago from this trip. It was kind of like a trailer to this long form video. I had in my mind to create this cinematic version for a long time and finally had the inspiration to do it. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed shooting and editing. There are a couple sections that really made me happy. It is impossible to do justice to the beauty of Arizona and Utah but I feel like I, at least showed a glimpse of how it felt like being there. It is also my longest video on YouTube to date! Since I don't do talking head videos it is. so difficult for me to make longer videos. I really work on every frame. I deleted so many projects due to not feeling like I had good light and composition. So, 17 minutes is a big mile stone for me. Let me know what you think! As you can see I am STILL using the Canon R6 for almost all my videos. I have couple X100VI videos lined up but my main camera for video is still R6. I got some people thanking me for making videos using the R6 because they felt like their camera was out dated. They were discouraged by YouTubers because they didn't have the latest and greatest camera on the market at the moment. It really made me sad to hear that. Cameras have been great for a long time now. DO NOT listen to people who are trying to make money selling you new gear. Please don't buy sth. because someone else is using it. Use what you have, push it to the limit and maybe jump on to a new model or brand when you really feel the need. Anyways, it was shot on Clog as always. I don't like Clog3. For some reason my color grading process takes a lot longer with Clog3. It is a personal choice. All Grand Canyon hike was shot on Canon RF 16mm f2.8 other scenes were most probably on the RF 15-35mm 2.8. I didn't carry the 15-35mm on hikes since it is super heavy. I would love to have that focal length but sometimes a lighter lens makes a lot more sense. I appreciate all the beautiful comments on the previous videos. I can't believe this channel almost hit 11K! As always thank you for the support! I used Dehancer Pro for the color edit. I love the DaVInci Resolve Dehancer Plug-in and highly recommend it if you are looking for a quick color grade solution for creating film look.
