On March 7th, 2025 I went to go and get some action on the Culver Lines while the brand new R-211T entered service on the G Line. This was also an important time as the R-46 and R-68/A cars returned to G service after several years since 2018. All of the aforementioned trains as well as the R-179 F and R-160A/B trains were caught in action, with the R-179 being a very rare catch at this time as the only 2 sets were running on the F line and Jamaica Yard only had 2 20 car sets as of March 7th. I managed to have luck and God on my side as I managed to catch both sets in this video which was AMAZING!!! I enjoyed seeing so much different types of equipment being used on the Culver Lines!!! From the oldest subway cars the R-46 was seen with the newest subway cars at the time the R-211T cars as 5 car sets. You can also see some left over historic old Culver line infrastructure before the activation of CBTC. Overall this video is a love letter showcasing the various rolling stock the Culver Lines had in early 2025. Hope you enjoy the various equipment seen in this video. In total 5 types of rolling stock was seen: R-46, R-68/A, R-160A/B, RARE R-179 and the R-211T from oldest to newest 5 generations of Subway cars!!!
