We're using a Marshall AVT100 (Solid state amp with single 12AX7 tube in the preamp) against a Peavey Windsor (120W EL34 tube amp). The cabinets are the 12" combo speaker from the Marshall AVT (I think it's a Celestion G12L) and my trusty Zilla Fatboy 2x12 with the Celestion Vintage 30 miced up. Mics are the sE R1 ribbon and Shure SM57. No post-processing or EQ, or master buss effects. ------ What gear to buy?
