We're continuing our deep-dive into paint brushes for your art this week. Please check out the previous videos on art paint brush types and how to use them for that info! This week, we look at how you can still use old paint brushes: even if they're wrecked with paint and tiny stubs! Usually, artists want clean brushes, and those are of course ideal for the majority of work you create. However, sometimes a very old, worn-out brush can produce magic results. The bristles are tough, worn, and can create help create new textures in your art! Stephen shows you some of his favourite old brushes he uses all the time in his artwork, and goes through an example of how to paint a stormy sky with oils.
