Joseph isn't a coffee drinker at all, not even with ice and flavors but he liked this which really surprised me. Cafe De Olla Café de Olla is a traditional Mexican spiced coffee, known for its rich flavor infused with cinnamon and piloncillo (unrefined cane sugar). Here’s a simple recipe to make it at home: Ingredients: 4 cups of water 1 small cone of piloncillo (or ½ cup of dark brown sugar) 1 cinnamon stick 3 whole cloves (optional) ½ teaspoon of ground anise (optional) ½ teaspoon of orange peel (optional) ½ cup of ground coffee (preferably Mexican coffee) Instructions: In a medium pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the piloncillo, cinnamon stick, cloves, anise, and orange peel. Stir until the piloncillo dissolves completely. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the spices to infuse. Add the ground coffee, stir, and let it steep for another 5 minutes. Strain the coffee using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth. Serve hot and enjoy! This coffee is traditionally made in a clay pot, which enhances its earthy flavor, but a regular saucepan works just fine.
