This presentation was given as a Lightning Talk at the OpenEd25 conference in October 2025. Most robotics textbooks are written at an advanced level for graduate students and focus heavily on mathematics and theory. There is a deficit of affordable and engaging options for undergraduates, as most of the existing textbooks are over their heads. Engineering faculty at Middle Tennessee State University have filled the gap by developing an interactive virtual textbook for undergraduate students, focusing on both mathematical theory and practical applications. The textbook includes embedded videos, quizzes, H5P media, as well as printable text, slide decks, and programming code examples. This presentation will explain the open-access textbook and its relevance to both academia and industry, and share student feedback from piloting the resource in Spring 2025. Questions?
