Saint Finian of Clonard, born in the year 470 in County Carlow, Ireland. He was one of the founders of the Clonard Abbey in modern-day Country Meath, Ireland. Noted as the "Teacher of the Irish Saints." , because the Twelve Apostles of Ireland studied under him. Finian of Clonard, along with Enda of Eran, is considered one of the fathers of Irish monasticism. He died of plague on December 12, 549. His major shrine is Clonard Abbey, which is already destroyed.
