As you drive from Vermont to New York along Rt. 2 along the Canadian border, you'll see a low stone fort tucked in along the shoreline of Rouse's Point. The structure is Fort Montgomery, which has a history that stretches back hundreds of years to the French and Indian War, and is the result of much discussion over where the border between the United States and Canada lay. Vermont Historical Society Executive Director Steve Perkins and Local 22 & Local 44 anchor Mike Hoey take a trip up to learn about the structure's history. This Place in History is produced in partnership by Local 22 & Local 44 (www.mychamplainvalley.com) and the Vermont Historical Society.
