Game Info --------------------------------------------------- Developer: Tatsumi Publisher: Tatsumi Year of Release: 1991 Game Review & Impressions --------------------------------------------------- Firstly, the emulation for this game is only listed as preliminary, so there's bound to be inaccuracies and glitches, but it looked and ran well enough that I thought it suitable for a longplay, and it's a pretty crazy experience. Tatsumi produced a couple of arcade games with sprite scaling effects that allowed it to rub shoulders with the likes of Taito and Konami, and Cycle Warriors is one of these titles. Thematically, it pays homage to movies like The Warriors and Mad Max, but the emphasis is on slightly zany humour as our motorcycling heros do battle with a whole menagerie of villainous scum on the highways of the future. It's a bit like Road Rash and Chase H.Q. in the sense you need to knock riders off their bikes. I was actually rather impressed by the game and I'd have definitely wanted to play this if I'd seen it in an actual arcade - well worth a look.
