Recorded on August 3rd, 2019. Westfield Center tests their sirens on the first Saturday of the month (March - October) at or shortly after noon. During the test the sirens will sound off for three minutes of attack. This is the Sentry 16V1T-B located off of Leroy Road at the Fire and Rescue building. A bit of background information on the system. In mid 2014 Westfield Center began planning the purchase of four new outdoor warning sirens. The old siren (A Federal Signal 2001-SRNB located at the fire department off of Leroy Road) did not adequately cover the township or village. A year later in early 2015 C&K Early Warning Systems was selected to install four Sentry 16V1T-B’s in both the township and village. The new sirens would be controlled by Storm Sentry software, allowing them to be activated automatically in the event of a tornado warning. This makes Westfield Center’s system one of the most advanced in the state. © 2019 Fumikiri06.
