Have you ever felt completely worn out, uninspired, or exhausted… but you couldn’t quite explain why? It’s not always that you’re doing too much — sometimes it’s that you’re doing too much of what doesn’t actually align with who you are. Alignment isn’t just a trendy word. When those things line up, there may still be hard work, but there’s also joy, peace, and internal fulfillment. When they don’t, exhaustion shows up fast. I share how I’ve personally had to recalibrate throughout my career — stepping off boards, saying no to good things that didn’t feed my soul, and learning that all change initially feels like loss. But staying misaligned costs far more: your energy, your peace, your momentum, and eventually your health. One of the biggest indicators of alignment isn’t excitement — it’s peace. You can be walking through something challenging and still know you’re in the right lane. Misalignment, on the other hand, shows up as irritation, restlessness, and feeling off without knowing why. In this episode, I challenge you to do an alignment check: Is your calendar aligned with what truly matters to you? Are you spending time with people who reflect your values? Are you honoring who you are becoming — not just who you used to be? Alignment doesn’t require burning your life down. It’s built through small, intentional steps. Saying no. Making adjustments.
