#acrylicpouring #acrylicpainting #ringpour #straightpour #minavillegasart #fluidartexperience #takeaclasswithme Hello My Beautiful People! Welcome back a very chilly evening in the garden studio! Tonight I am going to demonstrate two techniques that I will be teaching at the Fluid Art Experience in Dallas in November, the ring pour and the straight pour. I will be using the same color palette in both techniques so that we can see how the colors react and what the effects of both techniques are. If you would like to take a class with me in Dallas please visit https:/www.FluidArtExperience.com. I hope to see you there! I am teaching a Big Canvas class, a Splendid Split Cup Class, Perfecting Ring Pours & Straight Pours class, a 3D texture class (including making resin flowers!) and one of my favorites, a Double Wandering Ring Pour class! This is going to be so much fun, I cant wait to see everyone in person! My colors tonight are: Colors Amsterdam Bronze Titanium White Permanent Red Violet Golden Payne's Grey Custom "Plummy" color Permanent Red Violet plus Dioxizine Purple Pouring Medium: Mix Pour There is NO Silicone in Any of My Paint. I am using two 12x12 gallery wrapped canvases from Artist Loft. I have layered both my cups at the same time, in the same order. For the straight pour I pour into a puddle of bronze. For the ring pour I put down a little of my flow extender and some bronze and pour into that. The straight pour is poured from higher up than the ring pour is. This technique can also be done with the cup height varying for different effects. Higher up will create more blending, closer to the canvas will create more distinct patterns and have less blending of your colors. The ring pour creates beautiful concentric circles, and I like to change direction a few times during the ring pour to evenly distribute the colors around the canvas. Creating a nice tight center helps create the illusion of depth. These two techniques might seem simple but there is a lot of nuance creates a stunning piece of art. I really think mastering these two pours will help you get better at a lot of other techniques that build on these two. The pieces are not dry enough to show you now, but I will post a reel on my facebook page when they are dry, and show you in the next video as well. In this video I show you the dried results of my Sushi Mountain video, the wandering wing pour on a 24x36! I did a collaboration with my friend Nate Bright after I was inspired by one of his Angel Wing Pours. I love how that one dried, it is so striking but beautiful at the same time. You can find the creation video for Sushi Mountain here: • Sushi Mountain 🍣 Gorgeous Wandering Wing P... I would like to ask a favor of you please. Could you take a moment to Like my Facebook page?
