Today I have some great colors that I'm working with, I'm so excited to see what happens when I use both Fire Opal and the Pink Tourmaline together! Let's get started! I'm pouring on a 24x36 gallery wrapped canvas from Artist Loft. I need about 30 ounces of paint for this size canvas (Length x Width, then divide by 28) Colors: Golden Permanent Maroon DecoArt Extreme Sheen Pink Tourmaline DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics 24K Gold FolkArt Treasure Gold Fire Opal Artie's Colours Indigo Pouring Medium: Liquitex Gloss Medium Paint + a bit of Water Floetrol There is NO Silicone in Any of My Paint. I'm really enjoyed the Wandering Straight Pours and all the beautiful effects, so I layer my cup carefully down the side (light dark light dark) and lay down a runway of my 24K Gold to pour into. I start from one corner to the opposite corner. I feel like I need a little more paint so I layer my cup again. I want some more of the Indigo blue so I put down a line on either side of my pour. Then I pour the second cup along side the narrower sections of the first pour. I apply my flow extender (leftovers from Galaxy Far Far Away) and then tilt it out. I really love this technique, there are all the benefits of a straight pour but you can control where you want the paint to be, and you can alter the height from which you pour to create different effects. And it creates some AMAZING Cells! This one won't be dry enough to show you on Tuesday, but I will show you in Fridays video.
