"Barren Rocks of Aden" set played by Ballater & District Pipe Band in Braemar, Scotland, July 2019.

Ballater and District Pipe Band, led by Drum Major Ian Esson and Pipe Major James Cooper, playing by the Fife Arms Hotel in Braemar, July 2019. This was one of their displays around the village that day and the tunes played are "Barren Rocks of Aden", "Brown Haired Maiden" and "Invercauld House" with a repeat of "Barren Rocks" to finish. Invercauld House is just outside Braemar towards Ballater and was home to the Chiefs of Clan Farquharson. The band are based in the town of Ballater and they wear Ancient Hunting Robertson tartan kilts and plaids. We focused on the drumming for this so you can see the snare and tenor drum techniques, especially the spinning.
