Hey students, friends, & families. Here is Chapter 17 of Everfound by Neal Shusterman with permission from Simon & Schuster. This chapter was exciting to me because I love whenever we get a glimpse into a new group of Afterlights and get to learn about their culture and beliefs and traditions. I'm dazzled and intrigued by their relationship with Wurlitzur, the prophetic jukebox. Music can be so powerful and motivating! I'm wondering if you've ever had a time where you heard the right song at the right moment and it helped you. What song was it? What other music plays a powerful role in your life? I also love what Jix says about being like a cat. He talks about being patient, observing, and getting to know a situation so that he is ready whenever an opportunity presents itself. It can be so hard to be patient!!! I'm wondering if there's ever been a time that being patient (especially when you REALLY didn't want to) paid off for you in the long run. What did being patient and observing teach you that ultimately helped you get a resolution you wanted?
