Why does Allah ﷻ place the verse about duʿāʾ right in the middle of the verses about fasting? In this session, Dr. Sh. Haifaa Younis reflects on the powerful verse: “And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:186) This verse appears at the heart of the āyāt of ṣiyām — and that placement is intentional. In this talk, we explore: Why Allah ﷻ revealed this verse in the middle of the fasting verses What makes this verse unique compared to others about duʿāʾ How fasting strengthens our connection to Allah ﷻ What it truly means that Allah ﷻ declares His nearness to us How this verse transforms our understanding of Ramadan, worship, and duʿāʾ This is not a lesson only about duʿāʾ — but about Allah’s closeness, especially in the month of Ramadan. May this reminder deepen our awareness, sincerity, and connection to Allah ﷻ during this blessed month. 🌙 Support Islamic education and help us continue sharing beneficial knowledge: https://www.jannahinstitute.org/Donate 📌 Subscribe for more Qur’anic reflections and Ramadan reminders 📲 Follow Jannah Institute on social media for updates and resources
