Teamwork makes the dream work - but today, it was a necessity. It took three of us: Damian, Hawain, and Antoine, to finally remove a thin, stubborn piece of packing strap from this seal’s neck. Every second is a gamble. We have to be incredibly careful to avoid a bite; wounded animals are desperate animals. They have nothing left to lose and will fight with every ounce of strength, especially when they are just inches from the ocean, their only safety zone. It’s never easy for us to increase an animal's fear, but without intervention, those few grams of plastic would have become a fatal trap. Sometimes, it takes a whole team to cut one strap. 🦭 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Please visit our website to find out more about our work and how to support us: ➡ Website: https://www.ocnamibia.org/ ➡ Donate via Paypal: https://ow.ly/BTm550PIavq ➡ Donate via Stripe: https://ow.ly/Xy1F50PIMzQ ➡ Support via Patreon: / ocn ➡ FAQs: https://www.ocnamibia.org/faqs Follow us on social media: ➡ Instagram: / oceanconservationnamibia ➡ Facebook: / ocnamibia ➡ TikTok: / oc_namibia ➡ LinkedIn: / ocnamibia ➡ Twitter: / ocnamibia 😊 Thank you for every like, share, comment and subscribe 😊 Ocean Conservation International is registered as a non-profit organisation under chapter 501(c)3.
