Up close with one of Britain’s rarest treasures – the red squirrel. Our campervan adventure leads to incredible encounters, vital conservation stories, and a fresh perspective through the Pulsar Merger LRF XL50 thermal binoculars. Join me and my wife Sam as we set off in our campervan on a special journey in search of one of the UK’s most iconic – and most endangered – species: the red squirrel. In this film, we travel through stunning landscapes, camera gear at the ready, hoping to capture both photographs and video of these beautiful creatures. Along the way, I share the story of why red squirrels are struggling in Britain, the threats they face, and the crucial conservation work being done to protect them. What starts as a hopeful search turns into an unforgettable experience, with some truly incredible, up-close encounters that I’ll never forget. From their tufted ears to their agile leaps between the branches, every moment is a reminder of why these animals are worth fighting for. A huge thank you to Thomas Jacks for providing the Pulsar Merger LRF XL50 thermal binoculars – their incredible clarity and range made spotting wildlife in the field so much easier and added a whole new perspective to the adventure. 📸 My Photography Gear: Sony A1 | Sony 400mm f/2.8 GM | DJI Pocket Osmo 3 | Pulsar Merger LRF XL50 (supplied by Thomas Jacks) 🌿 Follow My Work: Apex Adventures – www.apex-adventures.co.uk WildX Podcast – @wildxphoto on Instagram Personal Instagram – @phelpsphotographyx Thomas Jacks – https://www.thomasjacks.co.uk #RedSquirrel #WildlifePhotography #Conservation #Pulsar #ThomasJacks
