Assembling the rudder horn | Build update

The rudder horn is a metal plate that bisects the rudder and which, by attachment of the rudder cables each side, allow deflection of the rudder from the pedals in the cockpit. In order to assemble the Skyranger’s rudder horn, it is necessary to first fix the mounting brackets either side of the rudder, and then use a soldering iron (or similar tool) to melt a slot through the rudder fabric through which to insert the rudder horn. The rudder horn is then fixed to the brackets using rivets. It’s a relatively simple job (although it’s the first time in my life I’ve ever used rivets), and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
