STRANGE DAYS and Weird Tails

Released 25 September 1967 as the opening track on The Doors album of the same name. Along with other album tracks, it was composed long before the date it was recorded; a live performance recorded in May 1966 was captured on the 2016 album London Fog 1966. The track is also recognized as one of the earliest showcases for the use of the Moog synthesizer. Covered here by The Wertheimers. (Jim reads his own poem.) Lyrics have been modified for purely political reasons. Mashed with The Patchwork Girl of Oz (1914) which is so old, nobody cares anymore.
