NYC St Patrick's Day Parade 2002 | 250,000 Marchers | Historic Moment

After the events in New York on 9/11 2001 nobody was visiting the USA and all flight sales and tourist bookings slumped. We booked a return flight immediately to show our support for the USA and we returned to NYC for the St Patricks Day Parade in March 2002. We met up with cousins and situated orselves up near The Plaza Hotel on 7th Avenue where we watched all the bands and dancers passing us, including Cath's cousin, Paddy O'Donnell who was with the Transit Pride band. The parade was fantastic, over 250,000 marchers taking part, and even Rudolph Giuliani showed up (well, he had to really). Hope you enjoy the short clip from that happier day.
