Vasisthasana is named after Vasistha, a Vedic sage who seemed to have aided King Ram, a manifestation of Vishnu, attain enlightenment through his fogged eyesight. Side Plank requires you to generate heat in your upper back, reignite your core, and create space in your hip flexors. If you're shaking, you're doing it in a correct way: those spasms are a chance to learn to embrace distress and focus on retaining this tricky posture. This pose, a challenging arm balance, strengthens your core, wrists, arms, belly, and legs. It also stretches all the way to your outer thighs and strengthens your balance.
