We are at quarters of FDNY Engine 284, Tower Ladder 149, and Satellite 3, Castle on the Hill, at 1157 79th Avenue, where we see both units as they respond to Box 2751 at 102 Parrott Place between 92nd Street and 90th Street for a smoking manhole. If I had to guess, the recent snow melt, mixed with the road salt, got into an underground electrical vault and corroded some of the wires, causing them to smoke. Engine 242, Engine 284, and Engine 243 were first, second, and third due Engine respectively. Tower Ladder 149 and Ladder 168 were first and second due Truck respectively. Battalion 42 was the sole Chief on the Box. I am unsure of the outcome of the run. Engine 284 is a 2022 Seagrave Attacker.
