This journey through the wilderness of Libacao, Aklan, pushed us to our absolute physical and mental limits. With five hours of hiking just to reach the falls and another five hours to make it back, every single step was a battle against the elements. The struggle was real from the very beginning as we navigated a terrifying river crossing where the current was strong and the rocks were unforgiving. We lost our footing and slipped multiple times into the water, but the danger didn't stop there. Along the trail, we had a heart-stopping encounter with a deadly Udto-Udto snake, a reminder of how wild this terrain truly is. Amidst the intensity, our local tour guide showed off his incredible skills by catching a wild iguana right in front of us. Despite the exhaustion, the slips, and the fear, we finally stood at the foot of the massive Nasuraan Falls. This was not an easy journey, and it’s certainly not for the faint of heart, but seeing the largest falls in Panay was an experience we will never forget.
